VICTOR FARINA NAMED MCBC BUILDER OF THE YEAR

Each year the Master Custom Builder Council selects the builder that has helped to promote the ideals of the MCBC through their honesty, integrity, professionalism and service. This year, Victor Farina, President of Farina & Sons, Inc. has been selected as the 2009 MCBC Builder of the Year. Victor was chosen by thirty of the top custom homebuilders who are members of the Master Custom Builder Council. Victor and his family have been serving families for over 50 years, providing the highest quality complete home renovations, custom homes and additions to homes. Farina & Sons not only meets the strict criteria required to be in the MCBC, but Victor also serves as its Vice-President and Co-Chairman of the Public Relations Committee.

Farina & Sons has been a member of the MCBC since 1998 and Victor has served on the Steering Committee for several years. According to Victor, “My membership in the MCBC and the camaraderie with the other members is very important to me. The Annual Golf Tournament and Sponsor Luncheon is something I always look forward to and I certainly enjoy serving on the Steering Committee”. He said “I keep in touch with former and current MCBC members, having lunch with them as often as possible and I also mentor and encourage the young builders who currently have such a daunting task before them”. Farina & Sons is a company that has a successful history building family homes. Victor directs the family business in the same tradition of excellence that has been the company’s signature since 1950. Victor’s father, Mario, began the family business and instilled his high standards for craftsmanship in Victor at an early age. Farina & Sons has a reputation for working closely with the client-listening to needs, concerns and dreams. Victor also personally monitors each project, overseeing not only the big picture but the fine details as well. Victor has also been an active participant in all of the activities of the MCBC, including the MCBC Annual Golf Tournament, the MCBC Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon, and the MCBC Realtor Event. Victor is also very involved in the community as well. He participated in the construction of 21 villas at Give Kids the World, a new kitchen addition at the Children’s Home Crisis Nursery, a building committee member for St. Michael’s Church, Volunteer and Sponsor for Edgewater High School Baseball and Football programs and a Boy Scout Volunteer, to name a few. These, among many other reasons, are why Victor Farina has been chosen as the 2009 MCBC Builder of the Year.
